VICTORIA WESSELER

Victoria Wesseler is an Indiana based food writer, recipe creator, and Advanced Master Gardener. She lives on a mini-farm called Dirtpatch in Lebanon, Indiana. It is home to Victoria, her husband Robert, their two cats, Barnie and Dover and, their dog, Rufus (who is a regular visitor to the gardens where he enjoys fresh strawberries, juicy tomatoes, and even picking and shucking his own sweet corn). The Wesselers grow and preserve about 50% of their food and strongly believe in eating locally and seasonally whenever possible.

Victoria's recipes have been featured in Indianapolis DINE, Indianapolis HOME Monthly, Indianapolis Monthly, Out Here, American Small Farm, and Cooking Pleasures. She has written a series of lifestyle columns for MSN and has written and produced culinary segments for broadcast on WKYT in Lexington, KY.

Her love for country living and strong desire to encourage others to discover the pleasures of Indiana’s local foods and seasonal, healthy eating led her to create the GOING LOCAL site. Get to know more about her by reading this interview.
