Free Morel Mushroom Seminar and Free Guided Hunt in Indiana
In March, April and May the woodlands of Indiana become a hunter’s paradise for morel mushrooms. The “honey hole” or “secret spot” for most hunters is a prized location. Whether you're a beginner or expert hunter, the program being offered at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds Conference Center is sure to entertain and educate you on the art of hunting morels while teaching you about Indiana's numerous natural resources in the woodlands.
4/11- The Art of Hunting the Morel Mushroom
6:00 p.m.
Hendricks County Fairgrounds Conference Center
1900 E Main Street, Danville, IN, 46122
This free program will teach you about the morels' habitats with a focus on flowers, shrubs, trees, and soil. You'll learn about tried and true hunting methods and get tips about morel cleaning and preparation.
The goal is to provide the audience with ways to better enjoy the outdoors and a morel hunting experience with family and friends with a disclaimer that not all mushrooms are edible and that we have to be very careful when selecting morels to eat.
