Thom England Receives Certified Executive Chef Designation
Congratulations to Chef Thom England who recently earned the Certified Executive Chef® (CEC®) designation from the American Culinary Federation (ACF), Inc. Thom is a culinary instructor at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis and a member of ACF Greater Indianapolis Chapter. Of course, many of us know Thom as a passionate local food advocate who is very active in Promoting Central Indiana's Local Food Culture and Slow Food Indy.
Earning the CEC designation is no walk in the park. Candidates for ACF certification must have a high level of work and educational experience, and pass both a written and practical examination. In addition, candidates must complete coursework in food safety, nutrition, and supervisory management.
For more information about the designation, visit www.acfchefs.org.

Congratulations, Chef Thom! It took a lot of work to get to this point!
