USDA's Value Added Producer Grant Available

The USDA's Value Added Producer Grant is now open and Indiana producers are being encouraged to apply for the program.

Grants may be used for planning activities and for working capital for marketing value-added agricultural products and for farm-based renewable energy. Eligible applicants include independent producers, farmer and rancher cooperatives, agricultural producer groups, and majority-controlled producer-based business ventures.  The application deadline is July 6, 2009.
